The problem
Sales teams want handwritten notes at a volume nobody can write by hand. The gap sat between their systems and our pens.
Key decisions
- Zapier first, since it plugs into tools customers already run. Shopify and HubSpot followed.
- No card minimum on integration and API sends; a CRM trigger sends one card at a time.
- Render the message in the real pen hand before any money moves (98 of 98 HubSpot test cases pass the pen check).
What I built
Zapier, Shopify and HubSpot integrations and a REST API on one order engine, backed by about 2,000 automated tests. A campaign wizard: one CSV, up to 5,000 recipients, two approvals. Readouts: scans by recipient and message version.

Handwriting
The plotter's letters came out jagged. I measured the pen paths, wrote an export mode that keeps each font's real curves, gave each letter eight variants and bounded spacing so letter collisions dropped to 0. True curves: 0% to 96%+.
Results
- 20 customers in real estate, fintech and ecommerce have mailed 50,000+ letters, and 60% have reordered
- 100+ demo bookings and sample requests; 20% became customers
